No only 2' wide and 2.5' tall. Too small, right?

Sell that tank and get a proper one, tall tanks suck for monster fish!!* :D:headbang2

But if you can't you should be able to keep one for many years. Although you may find when the fish gets longer than the tank is wide it starts getting skittish.

*(apart from marine batfish maybe...)

I say go for it.

i think my black is developing DE O_O

no DE on blacks

go for it man! those blacks will have a better home at your place than what most can provide.. it will take a long time for it to outgrow your tank (if it ever does) and with conservative feeding even longer. since you have a hard time deciding you seem like a responsible keeper and since you are on here and have been for a while I'm sure you've seen those fuped examples of how some keep aros and will do what you can not to let it end up like that!

run down and get your aro!

what are you still doing here?

of you go!

I'd like to see a thread on this with pics. Would be the first I've ever seen.

I agree, keep the feeding down it'll grow slow. Currently my 19" black eats 4 or 5 medium frozen shrimp(stuffed with a couple pellets) and 10 to 15 crickets a week. She is offered shrimp on a nightly basis, but does always takes it. As a result she has only grown 8" since I got her in Feb of '07.
