1.) How many of the people who start threads complaining about their lfs has actually done anything productive and has seen results? Or does the thread merely end up being a way to blow off steam and sound like a mfker?

2.) Is justifying a fish that died on your hands, in your tank, by blaming it on another member that tried to help you out the right thing To do?

3.) For all the experts that say " Yes _____ will get Xft long", and are growing ____ fish out in a 125, how are all of your indoor ponds coming along? Or does that fish end up back on craigslist or in your lfs display tanks like the ones that the inexperienced fish keepers have kept

Is that what this thread is? I don't disagree with you at all but it seems like your mad at something.;)

1. I help out my LFS all the time. I've ID'd fish for them, helped them manually change water and remove fish that died from the stress of shipping. Anything I can help them with, I do. Including solving mysterious female betta deaths in an under-maintained tank!

2. No. It's your fish. You do what you do and if you chose to accept advice, that's exactly what you did.

3. Adonis in the 55g, all the makings of the pond already at hand in my basement ready to go.
Ecat in a 10 gallon quarantine, 75gallon ready to hold him when I reseal my 125g and juggle some fish. After that, if he really is malapterurus electricus and keeps growing, I can set up a 210gallon shipping tote for him that I'm sure he'd find quite nice.

Well I can't answer for everyone but I can for myself.

1. I've never complained about my LFS and if I did it would probally be just to blow of some steam. If you own a business then you should be a professional in that field which obviously in this hobby is not the case in a lot of instances. Most of the time there really not a whole lot you can do because there not going to listen anyways. Usually the best you can do is to take your business else were.

2. I've never blamed anyone for my fish dying but I don't feel that it would be right to blame anyone seeing how all they were doing was helping.

3. All the fish I have now will do fine for life in the tank there in now. Now I did get carried away and will be overstocked once there all full grown but I have another tank that I just need to reseal that I can thin the herd out with. I think a lot of people that have a fish that will get to big for there tank are just trying to keep others from making the same mistake. Obviously the petstores are not doing this there telling us that that fish will be fine in that size tank. Us informing others its not is just a tool of many that can help educate others.

I don' think he intended for everyone who saw the thread to answer the questions. I think he was just highlighting what some of the *******s on this site do all the time. He's probably fed up with it. Some people on here are amazing in the ways that they post things and are GIGANTIC hypocrites.

1) If you actually go to their site for say PetSmart or Petco, there's a "Customer Satisfaction" section. You can tell them exactly which store, by location or store #, the Employees name, the date you had your good/bad experience, ect. That is how to actually help these stores learn what to do and what not to do. :) 2) IF the person on MFK was giving advice, and they honestly thought their advice would HELP and not HARM, then it's alright. IF the person gave bad advice, purposely INTENDING on doing harm, that's not the same thing = not acceptable. If you read the statement of the MFK Site, that non-members see when coming here, it said something to the tune of "keep the next generation of MFKeeeper's enthusiasts going"...I don't remember exactly, but something like that. 3) If someone is a procrastinator and owns Monster Fish that are in a grow-out tank, IMO, they love/respect their stock enough that they will "git'er'dun" by the time the larger tank/pond is needed. I don't think we would be 'showing off' our pride and joy Monsters - if they are in a tank/pond that they've outgrown! That would be crazy!:screwy:

I dont get the third question

The last question was touching on the fact that most " experts" that flame on ppl for having an rtc or alligator gar or some other type of fish in a small tank are oddly enough the ones that 99% of the time that are "growing" out the same fish in a too small of tank but coincedenilly building an indoor pond or heAted greenhouse. Not to mention the ones who get flames for having an overstocked tank while other more known members are praised for their ability to keep so many fish in a tank w out fighting
