Why is it sad if the mountain dies? That's a win lol that character is pure evil. He's literally been pillaging and raping and torturing since the war started. Also I want to see more of Oberyns revenge, I like him as a character Im hoping he's going to he around for a while.
Even if oberyn were to lose I don't think Jamie or maybe even Varys (remember he never forgets a thing) would let tyrion be executed for killing joffrey. They'd pull some kind of plot together to save him
I have read past it so I already know what happens but I'm speaking in my own opinion as before I read it. Nothing from this wasn't my speculation from knowing the outcome.

Maybe arya kills the mountain then the hound that said....... I agree the mountain is pure evil, the hound shows compassion he is human the mountain a sociopath, I prefer the hound over the mountain just because of lady stark, I want to see her revenge!

I say "sadly" because of a couple of reasons.
1) I love a good villain, and like you guys said, this guy seems as evil as they come. there has been much hype around his character. every time someone mentions the mountain they speak of horrible things he's done and what a monster he is. good story lines need villains like that
2) all this hype and we hardly see him in action. we've only gotten a couple of lines from him, very short glimpses of what he can do. only real thing we've seen him do is cut his horse's head off when he lost that jousting match against ser Loras. I don't want his first real time in a major scene involving him be his last. it would be a waste of character. much like Khal Drogo.

Khal drogo vs the mountain = epic battle, yeah he wasted ned stark got everyone to fall in love with him through his integrity and honor...... Then off with his head!
