read the dune books years ago, I was never waiting for more of them tho. The Gun slinger books another mater. reading the sequel to the shining now.

I meant I'm afraid GRRM will die before finishing, in the same way Frank Herbert died with Dune unfinished lol. Brian Herbert doesn't have his father's genius, and the last two books he wrote don't do his father's work justice. GRRM is no spring chicken lol

yup there is set 2 thousand years or so in the past during the first men.

I have been willfully avoiding absolutely anything to do with the TV show(s) out of fear of spoilers, so I'm out of the loop on this. I had the Viserion thing spoiled for me last season, so I'm one burned, twice shy in this regard lol

Well, spoilers for Season 8 I mean. I thought I was safe in S7, but people made sport of blasting things in comment sections and the like. Once bitten, twice shy lol

I was a late bloomer. I had HBO around season 3-5 but only watched 1 or 2 episodes. Just wasn't into it.

Then watched season 1 last thanksgiving then 4-7 during Christmas(luckly I was sick so I could avoid relatives and watch tv(free HBO during Christmas)).

Spoilers don't matter to me, but I never heard anything.

Really excited for this to start again. I watched the first 7 seasons in under a week...I didn’t get out of the house much that week to say the least. That’s how I watch TV. I can’t deal with watching 1-2 episodes a day and taking over 2 months to finish. I watch it all at once so I’m done with it and can move on to other things in life.
