yea i won't get into the books. but i did watch everything and i'm all caught up on the show

watched the first episode of Spartacus. i don't like the cgi and graphics. it's a little too 300 wannabe-ish to me and they over do it with the blood. a lot of over acting too. don't know if i can keep it up

I only watched 3 episodes (one in season one and 2 most recent episodes) . I had the same exact reaction but after seeing a couple of current season it wasn't as bad. Not sure if its a coincident or better budget.

Odd thing, I loved 300 and the Immortals

Exactly the same here in relation to 300 and Immortals and against Spartacus. It is too much compuetrized and the speech beyond ridiculous.

As to GoT, who does not read the books does not know what they are missing. 1000 points above the cardboard series...

300 was ok, immortals was kinda lame for me

in Spartacus, when they talk they exaggerate the grumbling in their throats. reminds me of when Christian bale as bruce wayne when he's in batman costume. only, bruce does that to change his voice to conceal his identity. these guys in Spartacus does it to sound tough

I've since gotten used to the gallons of corny looking blood that is tossed around in Spartacus but the dialogue/speech is annoying and hard to follow. If they actually talked that way or not they didn't have to go with that in the show.

Spartacus is a great portrayal of Roman politics if you can suffer through the annoyingly fake 300 blood spurts.

There is a fairly new show on History channel right after GoT , called 'Vikings' that is pretty decent. It is historical fiction about Ragnar and the early Viking raids on Britain. Give it a try.
LMK what you think.
Spartacus with the original actor was OK, but has descended into a total cartoon.
I loved the movie '300' but it really tortured the historical event and the details.
A good movie in that genre was 'the 13th warrior' from a MIchael Crichton book, altho it bombed at the box office.
