I wonder if the HBO cats realize that they accidentally played the finale last week and the filler episode this week.

That was disappointing.

Getting ready to watch it here in Socal in HD on HBO east... So psyched !!!

I can't do that, the east coast feed is not in HD so it cuts my screen down a lot.

I was expecting it though. Pretty sure they weren't going to top last week.

The only scene that got me excited this week was Yara standing up to her father and gearing up to rescue Theon. Girl has some balls.

what the heck? this was the worst season finale so far. I was expecting another huge thing or another wedding but it never came. I guess we'll see it next season.

i'm very disappointed too. I agree with chicx, last week should've been the finale somehow.

and yara went up a couple points in my book too for what she did

at the end, I was like, no way,............ they're gonna kill Dany, lol

They do the same thing every year. S1 was ned getting killed, S2 was the battle of blackwater. They never end on a big event. I also dont understand why the changed Theon's sister's name in the show. In the books her name is Asha. I also dont understand why they added that dumb scene between John and Yggrite. Where were the rest of the wildlings? They could have just shot him while he was riding away the first time.

The show people thought the audience would be confused by the similiar sound to Osha the wildling. Which does make a little sense.

And at least he got his arrow in the leg ... though she could have killed him if she wanted. She was mad, sure, but she let him go.

I just thought it was dumb, the scene seemed forced. They could have just shot him in the first scene where he was running away. Instead you have this awkward scene where she somehow stumbles upon him and shoots him.

I agree it was awkwardly done, but I could see why they did it. They couldn't create the friction/drama between the two with all the wildlings around since they'd be trying to kill him.

it was kind of dumb. I agree that jon should've been shot getting away in the first place. it seemed like ygritte was gonna help jon when they decided to kill him. then jon pushed her and started fighting them.

darthp, hound has bounced back since he wussed out on the battle at king's landing. and I've always liked varys. he never really came off as a guy that double crosses or has his own evil agenda like little finger does. he seems to truly serve the realm or if he does shady things it seems to be for the good of the realm. at least it seems that way at this point.

and about the finales, true the episode 9's has been the huge shocker episodes but the previous finales were intense in different ways. like season 1 when dany came out of the fire with the dragons. but last night's didn't have anything significant that leaves you with that feeling that you can't wait to see next season
