A Game Of Thrones

darthp, hound has bounced back since he wussed out on the battle at king's landing. and I've always liked varys. he never really came off as a guy that double crosses or has his own evil agenda like little finger does. he seems to truly serve the realm or if he does shady things it seems to be for the good of the realm. at least it seems that way at this point.

but last night's didn't have anything significant that leaves you with that feeling that you can't wait to see next season

I agree about both the Hound and Varys, but that scene with Varys was really well done I thought. And I don't think Tyrion up him up to it.

I look forward to Yara's raid, but other than that, I'd agree with your last statement.

Can you all imagine the anxiety people would feel if the end of episode 9 with the Red Wedding was how the season ended?

That would have been a world class season finale!

yes, it was a good scene. all varys' scenes are pretty good. and he is right, tyrion is the only one, it seems, that will be good for the realm. I was also left wanting more when Jamie finally made it back. like they didn't give us anything other than he made it back. no hint of what he may or may not do when he finds out about cercei engaged to ser loras or anything like that

it would've been cuh-ray-zee

I never really watched tv shows much before but it would've been the best finale I've ever seen. last time I saw a good finale was Three's Company, lol

I had to watch it twice just to see that scene where Arya kills that Frey bannerman then The Hound steps in and takes over. I really like how his character is developing.

I just got around to watching the finale earlier and I must say it went off with a whimper..Were it not for Arya getting a bit of revenge and Hound finishing up there would have been no action...

Good read but I didn't much care for the commentary.

I liked this one from Tywin to Tirion...Explain to me how it is more noble to kill hundreds of men in battle than dozens at a wedding...

Random Tyrion quotes

Meryn Trant: No one threatens His Grace in the presence of the Kingsguard!
Tyrion Lannister: I'm not threatening the king, ser. I'm educating my nephew. Bronn, the next time Ser Meryn speaks, kill him. That was a threat. See the difference?

Joffrey Baratheon: They say Stannis never smiles. [unsheathes his dagger] I'll give him a red smile, from ear to ear.[Joffrey walks away]
Tyrion Lannister: Imagine Stannis's terror.
Varys: [deadpan] I am trying.

Tyrion Lannister: The Lord of Light wants his enemies burned. The Drowned God wants them drowned. Why are all the gods such vicious *****? Where is the god of **** and wine?
Varys: In the Summer Isles, they worship a fertility goddess with sixteen teats.
Tyrion Lannister: We should sail there immediately.
