A Good Offer

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
oscars are the fish equivalent to pigs! hahahahaha! alright il rethink about his offer.. i was just sad about the 2 guys. they arent being kept well.. my friends tank water is really really nasty and the 2 guys were just at the top of the tank seeking air..

maybe if i get a new tank for them il get those 2 poor guys. if i still have money in my wallet to buy me a new tank for them.. LOL

well if your on a rescue mission you should have just said so and if you really want em then take your friends fish and tank as a temporary setup then upgrade from there

i see.. he says i cant have his tank.. the tank is small too.. these are 2 tiger oscars at about 3-4" in a 15gal tank.

if you dont have them make sure you tell him that the waters surface needs to be agitated. get him to move the filter so that it breaks the surface. this will at least give them some air in the water. if this was a dog kept in a box the animals services would be screaming blue murder. personally i dont think people like that should be allowed to keep pets if they aint gonna learn about them. give him a slap upside his head for me.

2 in a 15!!! please do the fish a favor and save the poor little guys. i know a few o's that wouldnt really take the comment about being pigs too well :angryfire :) . there just a little bit opportunistic, they eat everything in such a hurry they tend to make a mess.

That's ridiculous. Lock him in a car with a gaseous fat guy. Pee on the seats and crank the heat. One day he'll thank you for cleansing his karma.
I'd be glad to help out. I had pizza tonight. :barf:

I've been to the Philippines. It's HOT as hell there. Tank water temps go up to 90 degress! Those poor O's.

4" oscars are ok in a 50g for now. Rescue them and give those poor guys some relief. When they get too big, and you haven't gotten them a bigger tank, just pass them on to your LFS or something.

They are very personable fish just like your flowerhorn. You will enjoy taking care of them.

Keep us posted with pics of the Oscars!

so il just buy a new 50gal tank and get those guys then.. i visited the 2 guys yesterday when i went to my friends place. the other 1 was sick already not moving and so thin.. i gotta get those 2!

cant upload pics though.. i dont have an uploader.. i wish i could put pics of my fish here..

To cut down on the time of establishing a new tank, do a water change from your current tank to a newer tank, about half will do that way it takes the bacteria much less time to develope. You need at leeeassst a 90. Also before you take them you should sex them to males will probably need a larger tank than that.

I'd pass on the deal by the way, it only takes about 5-6 months to get an oscar to 5 inches something easy for you to do on your own if you ever feel the urge.
