RIP soon for that RTC. you are to much of a novice to keep the fish man, please return it to the store. not to be a dick but you are. what are you plans for him after that tiny tank?

im thinking of either saving money and buying a pond by november or the end of october and im gonna put the rtc in it

u might wana buy that green medicine for skin bacteria and stuff. also raise the temp of ure tank and add rock salt. other than that, things shud be fine...u need a bigger tank...fo real.

I've been holding back but DR Z is right. Baby RTC's are pretty fragile. Not the fish to hone your skills on. Unfortunately 90% of all RTC's sold meet a similar fate. Thats why you dont see many 3' returned fish.........Most dont make it past 4".

Good luck.......

meds on a catfish??? cats are pretty sensitive to medications. use salt raise the temp and keep him fed. he should be fine.

you should def. work on getting him a larger home very soon....a pond would be great. if you can't upgrade soon i would consider rehousing him w/ someone who can provide a proper home.

good luck

so all i do is add salt and raise the temp?

is the fish feeding and acting ok? his case dosn't seem too severe....so i would just recommend adding 1 tbspn of salt per 5 gallons of water. raise the temp to the mid to low 80's.
