How can you use salt that was made for a saltwater tank... Shouldnt he have to use that salt thats made for freshwater?

tell us all the difference between the two...

We occasionally use non-iodized table salt or Kosher salt in the place of aquarium salt, more or less the same thing. Sea salt is O.K. for the SHORT term in an emergency. Of course, as previously stated, Any salt should be for short term use with MOST freshwater fish.

if that was the case then why do they have salt for freshwater aquariums, and ones for saltwater aquariums? why not table salt

API salt is made from evaporated sea water. like i said before...as long as it is non-iodized it is fine for FW aquarium use.

Salt with Iodine is actually benificial in doses of 1 tbsp per 600 gals. Most fish lack Iodine, and small doses are benificial. You would not want to use it for salt treatment of a desiese though.

can i get my rtc onto freeze dried shrimp? or it only eats food that sinks to the bottom?
