Oh dear. Looks swollen and maybe infected. I presume you've already done wc's. If so, add melfix and pimafix... Then wait 3 days, then wc 50% and add 50% dose of mela and Pima to top it up. Then wc again after 3 days and repeat if needed.

Also up temp to 88 , u can add salt also if u want.

I dont know about bumping up the heat. Ive had them same thing happen with my ST's at one point. I used tons of salt and did big water changes and it went away. How often are you doing wc???? And when i mean alot of salt i pretty much made it brackish. Ever since then ive always kept up the salt level and its never come back.

Sorry pupumole, I didn't even read your post, just looked at pics.

So u have used meds.... In the last 7 days, has the condition got any worse? If it has then continue with meds, salt and wc for another 7 days. After wc, replace with equivalent % of salt and meds.

If condition has not got any worse, just keep up with wc's ad salt.

Good luck.

Is it my imagination or does that look viral? Like a wart?

by salt , u mean "aquarium salt" right? cuz thats what i've been using, and i thought those stuff is not actually salt n they wont turn water to brackish, its just some sort of crystal. or r u guys actually talking about salt that makes saltwater. is there any more economical method of acquiring large amount of "aquarium salt" other than stocking up on lil small milk cartons of them from walmart xD

Personally I feel Melafix & Pimafix are overrated as remedies and I see them as tonics more than remedies. looking at your fish I think it needs something far more substantial. Is it still feeding and otherwise OK?
