A lil help plz D: Gill problem

well i dont have a smaller tank that'll fit him, cuz he cant fit in a 50gal .... so i'm gonna move my other fish to my 360g tomorrow ... and slowly bring it up to the salt dosage Lupin recommends . And then i'll be free to add whatever meds/ antibiotic you guys suggest...
 
Pupumole, maybe I missed this but has that fish been injured before? I was going to suggest hydrogen peroxide but dang, it's in the gill area so it's very risky as it can burn gill filaments. Iodine solution is a gentler option but all the same, avoid putting it in contact with eyes, mouth and gills. This is assuming the fish was wounded before.

no it was not wounded before....
 
i'm using clout so far ( couldnt find furan 2 yet) ... it says one treatment should be fine, but i'm not seeing much effect yet... i'll do a 25% wc n do another treatment of clout...

and i'll continue to raise salt level to wat Lupin said.

find the furan 2 that is the key.... check the local koi places over there. Bifuron is a substitute for the furan 2 if you cannot find it.
 
just did a 25% wc, and brought salt to full level, added another clout treatment , as well as furan 2! ... hopefully everything will be alright

dang that furan 2 was expensive -_- especially when i have to treat 300gal of water cuz i dont have any smaller tank for it... guess its all worth it in the end though : )
 
okay ... after running out of money on furan 2... i decide to look for the cheaper bifuran.... except i couldnt find any and the lfs gave me BGDX by Argent which specifically says its for gill disease.... that jar he sold to me was probably 10 yrs old ... but i figure its just chemical that wont degrade overtime.... and that jar was like ....3g for 100gal, n it was a 500g jar xD ..

hopefully tis will work on him...
