That's pretty genius!

Keep a few of the tanks going as show tanks, remembering to definitely have a planted, a salt, a malawi, a terrarium, a rack of bettas.

Then get another rack of fish that are for sale
Livebearers and small fish
and write a little care booklet and sell 10gal tanks

for my rack of bettas check this puppy out i scored it in small town sask and will clean up real easy and all the tanks are prime imagine this as my private betta wall in my fish/showroom all wired to run off one outlet

i like your advice and am talkin to marineland and another retail tank supplier

now about the 140g im 70% on the move to make it the iri tank and 30% on moving my scats here the one reason why i would move my scats is cause in less than 2 months i will have a 300g that i can make their home and by the summers end i should have my 5-7500g indoor pond tank done in the garage we are puttin up on our vacant lot

ok one other thing i redid 2 of the tanks an moved the green terror from one 75 to another 75

I'll most def. stop by whenever im in your area. :)

Chef, I think your tanks will look better when you focus on black/brown background, natural substrate (no pastel colors), plenty of plants, dark rocks and then driftwoods. People tend to hang around places where tanks have a relaxing view. Fancy ornaments like castles are "loud" in my opinion.

Aw man sweeeet!

Those are a bit big for single bettas though.

but the betta will be able to see the one beside it i think it will make a fiesty display to watch them flare at each other without being able to actually touch the other one and there is light on each level

ok so i came in at 5 am sat and the tank looked like this

DSC05609.jpg

did my water test and both nitrite an nitrate should come in at tank ready and they looked like this

now at this point i could actually put fish in but i want the filters to be reallly well seeded so i take out the old filter media bags and move the driftwood around an mix up the sludge that has collected there so that the filters can again work all night clearing out the suspended particles

the heaters for this tank are visitherm stealth and i put them in last night and the tank temp came in at 76 degree so by tomorrow it will be living temp

whats really cool is today at a1 a local fish store i found some big cats they need rehomed so ill get them on friday

ok for ease of posting im just gonna post the link the aquaria central post for stage 3 of this method i have come up with for fast tracking a tank

http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?p=1800385#post1800385

while there are those who would strongly disagree with how i am doing this it is a method i have come up with that one would not be able to do without having other established tanks cause its kinda like a sourdough starter once you have an established sour dough starter you never run out i have even heard of a sourdough starter that was over 20 years old and the principles of sourdough are very similar to that of a good aquarium
