WOW, this brings back a "close call" memory from my not too distant past. A couple of years ago I got this beautiful 14" endli female from Toyin, and for days she jumped against the top of the 75gal acrylic I had set up in the living room. About every ten minutes "KABOOM", smashed up against the ceiling of the tank. Went on for 2 days! She became known as "Thumper". One night I was sitting about 4' away from the tank watching TV, when she came crashing thru the styrofoam piece held down by a 2x4, flying thru the air, thru the opening in the wall to the kitchen, and kerplunk into the sink! I jumped up, turned on the light and she was nowhere to be found. Thinking she was possibly down the disposal I turned to get a flashlight when I heard her flopping around on the floor under one of the cabinets. WHEW!! Dodged the bullet that time! KEEPER, I know how important your bichirs are to you, and I know what special care you give them. All I can say is that Harley was lucky to have you as a keeper, even if for far too short a time! Hang in there--Sorry for your loss! Johnathan
