tthanatoss, that really is looking the part now. Having the base mirror the top has really set it off. A job well done.

I used the 5200 to glue the bottom glass down. If I can get a couple more tubes I would like to use it on all the glass.
That'd be cool if we filled together Bass we'll have to play it by ear.
Not sur what I'm stocking in it at this point. I was going to put my community fish from my 50 gallon in it but my little brother was asking if I'd give him the 50 so maybe now I'll get somethiing a little more exciting.
I'm getting very partial to RTC's and would like to have a couple. Besides they'd give an excuse to build even bigger in a couple of years.

More like a couple of months dude. Keep in mind the bigger the tank, the longer it's going to take to set up (nicely). RTC grow like weeds - I understand that 24-30" is not uncommon for an 18 month old RTC.
Also if you're on a budget at all... don't underestimate the cost of feeding!!! My TSN was eating $20 worth of costco frozen shrimp per week at 24". I'd double or triple that estimate for a pair of RTC.

Your footprint will be good for large or very active fish, so there's no reason not to keep monsters like snakehead or Arowana or smaller ray species.
If salt wasn't so dam expensive that would be an amazing layout for a reef tank, with a coral column in the center.
Actually, another thing to think about if you're going with larger fish, is the thickness of your glass again. 6mm might not do much when faced with a charging catfish - just a thought!
if we could have snakeheads here I would be all over that idea. Aros are very cool as well and I have a good friend with one. I will admit I have years of experience with smaller fish and this tank will mark my first foray into larger fish so there is a lot of thinking and planning to do yet. We do have a local LFS here called Anamalia (free plug) and the owner is very conscious of his fish and who they are going to so I do have a good resource for advice. What I believe is what I would like is two or three big fish that have a decent growth rate and will be comfortable when mature in this tank.
K, now you guys have gone and done it. You've got me worried about stocking ideas and the tank isn't even done yet.
