A peaceful change

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I like the substrate. I was going to ask if you mixed it yourself. Small pebble pieces with sand look more natural and give some texture to the scape. I don't think your earth eaters should have any problem with it either. :)

Nice set up.

I'm doing a similar project right now and have 6 Orange heads and 4 Aequidens metae comming from TUIC on Thursday. I have a group of 5 Mesonauta egregius (festivum) instead of the Angels. I was looking for a group of Altum but couldn't find any available at the moment. I love the South Americans and have also transitioned back to more peaceful tanks. This is my first time keeping Eartheaters and I'm pretty excited about this. I'd like to see a full tank shot it you can post one. I also like your substrate the mix is very natural looking imo.

Thanks! The tank is a mixture of pool filter sand and pebbles, there a parts that are all sand. The Juruparis don't see to have a problem.

And that should work perfectly.. by the pics I couldn't tell there was sand :D .. GL with your new buddies!!

It's fun to take pics of these guys. They are not one bit shy.

So far so good. Everyone is in the tank and I don't see one split fin. Only time will tell ;-) It's so nice having more than 1 fish in a 125 Gallon.

Thats what I like about my set up. So much activity and not too many torn fins but it does happen even in the mellow set ups just not nearly as much. Good luck with your set up.
