Thats what I like about my set up. So much activity and not too many torn fins but it does happen even in the mellow set ups just not nearly as much. Good luck with your set up.

I had a female salvini with them and six large clown loaches. I got rid of them today cuz I found a dead Geo and noticed the loaches were eating all the food.

I like the substrate. I was going to ask if you mixed it yourself. Small pebble pieces with sand look more natural and give some texture to the scape. I don't think your earth eaters should have any problem with it either.

Really starting to like these angelfish. Should I bother with Altums? can't find a source.

Those are very nice Angels I really like the wild type silvers. There is no reasonable source of Altums that I'm aware of at the moment, I was looking too. I would be happy with a nice looking group of wild type scalare however I can't seem to find them either, all I run across are the designer Angels and I don't really care for them too much.
