a pic of my aro pair

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That's cool that you have a pair. How can you tell male from female? Do males have an over-bite and females don't?

Beautiful pair! Hopefully the one with the overbite is a male, as many "experienced" breeders claim to be. Albeit, its not 100% on the money, but they've been using that method aside from doing dna sexing,(yeah right, they're going spend the money on that) they've been on the money for the most part. I would be optimistic about the pair, and credibility towards the breeders since most if not all aro breeders have been doing it all their lives and their livelihood depends on their knowledge as opposed to some that have been keeping aro's for a only a few years and all of a sudden they're an expert. :screwy:

Irregardless, if they breed...more power to you, if not..enjoy their beauty and grace and MONSTERness! Take joy in that you have 2 aro's that can co-exist peacefully.:grinno:

Good luck!

bout year or year and 2 months ish

oh deng

they aint a breeding pair (ok ok,well go with not yet to be optomistic) theyre not even sexually mature!

SA's hit sexual maturity at about 3-5 years in age, you have a long way to go before they are of breeding age, the good thig out of this is that they are at a large size and getting along well from what it looks like.

I would agree with Delagdo, but also with Prophets..I also have, as repeatdely posted, several 14/15 inches silvers swimming together without any agression.. from the outward signs, these would all be female.. having said that, a breeders opinion is always a knowledgeable opinion and someone you should be able to rely on..keep up the good work, we have an 'obligation' , all of us, to try to create as big a captive breeding pool as possible, to spare wild life...

Cheers
