he's a plant. It's when a label backs an artist, but the artist presents himself as like homegrown/organic to create a better brand. It's not necessarily a bad thing if you like him dw.What?

My request is that you listen to at least one song - any of them from the album "whole lotta red" by playboi carti. - very popular among my generation. Come back here and tell us what you think!

Probably ariania grande and the wkendThat Coco song is by the same guy that i mentioned earlier who has the "always in a mood " song that my wife kept playing. Again, its not my thing but alright I guess. I just dont need to hear it 10 times a day.
I am a sales rep so spend a lot of time driving with the radio on so am exposed to a lot of your young folks music. Some of it is okay, some is crap. Its rare theres a song i really like and am happy when it comes on. They currently play a song by the weekend a lot called "blinded by the light" I think which I reckon is very good, probably my current favourite modern song.
This thread got me thinking about music from my younger days, obviously like most older people I thought it was much better in my day than now. I googled some of the old music charts from the 90s and I was surprised how terrible most of the songs were. Most people who think of 90s music seem to think of nirvana and the rest of the grunge bands or classic hip hop but the charts were full of the same mindless throw away pop music that fills the radio today. Strangely enough I now listen to some of the songs I hated back in the day just for the memories they evoke such as first job, getting my drivers licence or some girl I was trying to get some action from. Sadly this will most likely happen to you guys too.
Which songs or artists from today do you kids think will be considered classics when you guys are in your 40s?
