A response to Don Imus' comment

all i gotta say is:
First they came for the Socialists, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Socialist. Then they came for the unionists, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn’t a Trade Unionist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up, because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for me, and there was no one left to speak up for me.
An injustice anywhere is an injustice everywhere. Imus admitted what he said was wrong, and even apologized. Don't wave him as a banner for free speech when he admittedly said he was wrong. He got fired, you reap what you sow. He makes 10 million a year, now the dude can retired now.

He was wayyy outside his culture but at the same time knew full well the implications of the words he was using which are crude and sexist and also racist imo.
Life is already tough enough without influential public figures adding to the problems. If you or I say something politically incorrect we speak to one or 2 people we don't influence the culture, Imus spoke to millions and sadly there are many many sheep out there who pay to much attention to that kind of garbage entertainment....

Maybe, but not for what he said. The only reason he got fired is because this got blown WAAYYY out proportion and the sponsors got scared that jokes like Jesse Jackson and Al sharpton would start bringing their names up and saying that their companies must be racist if they support somebody like Imus. The only reason he got fired was because of money pure and simple. People have said and will say much worse things but unless the media decides to go on an insane free for all, not that much happens. Maybe I will pay people like Jesse Jackson does to go out in front of Staples and protest their withdrawing of sponsorship LMFAO. The mainly far left-wing media in this country SUCKS (the whole media). Pick and choose whatever they want to carry. Then they all carry the same stories because somebody else is and what if they change the channel because we are on another story?!??! Why do you never hear of unattractive people gone missing? Cause they dont wanna carry that story. Is it only cute kids and attractive women that go missing and get murdered??
Okay Im getting sidetracked here. As for him being a public figure that is BS. Look at Hollywood and especially the View. There are idiots left and right who pretend to be people trying to people about politics in this country. I personally dont want to get my political ideals from a person who went to school to be fake. Rosie ODonnel gets and her show and spouts pure venomous LIES about this country. I honestly wish they could charge her with treason and exile her fat ass.

Let me throw this out there. Racism will only end when lables disappear. Until people are people instead of black, white, brown, red, yellow, purple.......whatever, it will exist.
