Here he is again, pics taken tonight. His girl is cloaking him in one of the shots, if you look closely however you can see he has become a man. He is still only 12" disc, he was the smallest pup in his litter, I genuinely don't see him growing much more.
I worked with and sold the highest grade koi for 20 odd years and the biggest skill was to select young fish and grow them on and keep or improve their markings. You constantly do it better than anyone on here. You manage to keep your rays markings looking pristine for such a long time! The reason I chose my hybrid pup was because of wanting a ray like this.
Always a pleasure to see one of my old babies!..but even more so with old elton!..the moment he was born he stuck out in the tank,his spots were more white than the others,he was tiny,had the most character aswell,was hand feeding at a couple of days old,was quite a wrench to let the little guy go!...so it was nice he went to the place to be fully appreciated!
