i was thinking of a hallway tank... like one that would make arowanas tired.
say W: 20" H: 26" L: 750"

i wonder how many gallons that would be?

well damn... that means its possible. i wanna have a long tank with an average household tank's footprint aside from length... why doesn't anyone do this? not even rap stars?

i would but i have no money

or how bout the dimensions W: 3" H: 20" L: 450". then i could put discus and datnoids in facing the right side of the tank and compressed piranhas facing the left... that way none of them can fight unless the piranha jumps out, spins 180 and lands perfectly or swims upside down.

EDIT: Jk.

i seriously would rather have length than anything else though... realistically... maybe 300" 18" 20" or something.

yeah that would be perfect

long and thin isnt in, short and fat is where its at.

isn't there a chinese trend like that? where they got a tank 2 inches high and extremely wide + long with flounders and custom filters in it?

if you plan on housing an arowana you may want to add some width though so they can turn around once they grow a bit. I don't think it would be terribly expensive to build as the glass wouldn't need to be that thick its just most don't have the space to do it unless it was part of the design of the home. if you changed it so it was wide enough for the arowana it would be over 3000 Gallons
