A trip to the local temple

Thanks for sharing Spirit, nice pics and it's nice to know they have such a large open space to grow and live...

But the temple devoters don't really know anything about the hobby. The filtration system was turned off and the water in the sump was really horrible. mosquito breeding in the sump, out in the main pond isn't a problem as the fish munch on the larves. There is also a very thick oily slick in the sump surface. Maybe I would help out with cleaning and maintaining the pond someday. If i have the time and they let me.

Agree but you can see why they have to do it. Those fishes [except the kois] are not brought by the temple. Irresponsible fishkeepers dump them there when the fish grow too big for their tank. Look at the first picture, the red dab on its left is a blood parrot. The Channa can easily swallow the bp whole anytime.

Anyway I forgotten to take a pic of a sign at the pond which shows how responsible we SG fishkeepers are
It reads "Please do not throw luohan into the pond".

Meh, those and soft shells. We need to oppose this law, and get snakes and stuff back!!!!

Thats pretty awesome, a lot of big fish in that pond. never seen a temple with any stock like that

I never really pay any attention to it until I entered the hobby. LOL!
