A Very Gruesome Death......

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
That must have been terrible to have gone through that, sorry to hear OP. Reading this thread on heating in general made me think.

So I run two 500 watt heaters along with the included controller model "Catalina Titanium". Since the heaters themselves operate from the controller, I have no redundancy. I'm now curious what's my best option?

I've enjoyed getting back into aquariums, and discovering this site. I've learned a lot from many useful folks/thread. But I find the more I read the more I have things to be concerned with and money spent LOL. Ignorance is blitz...but of course it's better to know.

Sorry to hear what happened.

Glad I keep my house at 76-79 year round. I don't even use a heater.

Back when I did it was mainly the element going out first.

Good News...

I'm really sorry for your loss. Before I clicked on the video I saw the catfish on the floor but I had no idea how bad it was going to get. I hope Eheim takes good care of you with the filter. It's just too bad that they probably wont do anything about the fish. On that note, if you happen to be in the lower part of the state any time soon, I have a clown knife I've been growing out for a little while that I'd be willing to donate to help get the population on the rise again, if you want it.

I'll take you up on that if we meet for your Bocs :)
