The only thing u really can do is add some salt and raise temp to make him feel more comfortable. Do you have a empty 10 gallon or something so u can put him by himself until he recovers?

Yeah I have a open 10 right now and one 29 but the 29 still needs a heater.

Ok people I NEED YOU GUYS!! How much salt should I add to help cope with the Pop Eye because some one told me that trauma based pop eye is soon followed by a bacterial infection and I think it is getting infected. So how much salt should I add to 29 gallons of water? THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!

Two tablespoons/gallon.

start with a tablespoon every 5 gallons and then later that day use another tablespoon for every 5 gallons and wait till the next day and add another tablespoon for every 5 gallons untill you see some improvement and keep it there. and keep the heater up too.

this is what I always did with my hurt green terror and my hurt severum and when my tank got ick and it seemed to be best, but 2 tablespoons per gallon is pretty salty. I mean saltwater is like half a cup per gallon so its not that salty, but definitely a jump from no salt.

Why Keep adding salt? Does it diminish or something?

Go by the directions on the salt container.

Seperate the Zal. And medicate with salt, high heat. What is the temp at in your main tank? If it's high enough to be turned down, then turn it down..

2 tablespoons per gallon is highly brackish. Not good for freshwater. I would do 1 teaspoon per gallon. Raise temp to 82-84. And 50% water changes 2 times a week.

Well he is going into the 29 tomorrow. I will get the heat up to 86 add the salt and do water changes like a maniac. If that doesn't work or at least no progress, I will dose the tank with Melafix to fight off any bacterial infections. We'll see how it goes from there.
