Yea they grow pretty dang quick. I got mine in about mid July at under and inch and he is now 4.5- pushing 5". Almost every question you ask here you will get an answer for so....fire away!

They do grow quickly, I caught mine last October at 1", he was 10" by July and is pushing twelve now.

I have a large mouth bass too.
What kind of food do you give them?
Sometimes I give him meat and more often I've been giving him shrimp. Any other ideas (besides living fish)?

Get it to start eating pellets!

He eats everything (or almost I'd say), that's not the problem.
The question was to know what is the most nutritious food that we should give to our LMB in order to have the best growing rate?

The best thing to do is to feed them a varied diet, pellets, crawdads, minnows, worms, just feed them almost anything you can get them to eat.

And do frequent water changes!
