Well after my first Aba Aba became a snack for my tiny TSN at the time.. I have finally been able to hunt another one down! yay! getting it today! Can't wait! he's going into a well cycled 20L by himself! :headbang2I'm stocked up on frozen bloodworms and guppies to get this lil' guy eating!

LoL absolutely! he came in as good as promised, and is chilling out in some fake plants left floating at the top of the tank. also got lucky and a big female guppy dropped tonight as well so he/she has plenty of food to pick at. he was abit red bellied but looks like it's going away and no signs of internal damage ect.. I think it was due to being in the bag a fairly good time. Just keeping my fingers crossed he makes it threw the first 48 hours. Such a tiny guy.. definately no bigger then 3"

Good Luck. I have lost both of my 3" Aba's. I guess what I read about them being extremely difficult to care for at this size or smaller was absolutely true.

Thank you! and yeah everything I've heard you are absolutely right! this AM woke up to a slate colored body, no sign of red anymore (Yay!) and what appears to be a full tummy! will snap some pictures later.. I also woke up to my silver arrow having been practically scaled by my Oscar... and my TSN looks like he also took a few hits from the O. Never seen such a nasty O, he bought himself a one way ticket to the LFS.:irked:.. not the first time I've had issues w/ this fish either.. so first is first, and silver needs some TLC.

I just lost a baby similar to that one! Sucks. I've learned my lesson on starting too small with these guys! This one was about 2.5" and his stomach was still almost clear like he was barely developed. They are amazing fish though! My previous one got about 18" and was a holy terror haha. That is until he was eaten by a Peacock bass :( Have fun with him!
