I have a 12" jaguar cichlid, basically alone in my tank. I was wondering if I added a 8-12" silver arowana what would happen, would they co-exist? Would they kill each other? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Based on what I am seeing as of late, I am grosely under required tank size. I have a 56 gal. column tank. The jag doesnt seemed stressed by the size.
Wow... i dont think you are aware how large silver arowanna get... they can achieve lengths of about 4 feet and weigh over 40lbs and are a sport fish in the wild...
any ideas what can live with the jag, green terrors maybe? I have already begun to look into a 125gal. It would be nice to have a little something else in there with him. thanks for the advise on the arowana kinda pricey to be fish food.
I have read that they rarely exede 24" in captivity. But your right they are large fish, and so beautiful. I wont get one until I have the proper facilities to house one. I mostly wanted to know about the compatability with the jag.
Yes i agree too. That tank is already pushing the bioload so it wouldnt be smart biolosdwise to add anything either.
