Went to petsmart today. Looked at a box of biomax for an AC110. Inside I found two smaller pouches instead of one large. The pouches were the size Dmopar has in his pic, so maybe hagan is changing things.

must be, because i bought those pouches brand new for the ac110.

My AC110 came with tottally different stuff.
Not even bags of bio, and not the same sponge.
My has two blue carbon pouches, one on each side, and two white sponges that go infront of the carbon...

hmmm, since i got my filter used perhaps the sponge has been cut? anyways heres a pic, i usually run 4 bags of bio, but i have a bag of purigen replacing one bag of bio right now.

That bio looks like its from a AC70
I think that customers might change the guts of a box , and for sure some employees mix and match whatever they can do to get a sale
depending what store your in , ive been in some mom and pop stores
and they have altered plenty of boxes and reply " same thing it work the same"
eitherway its all good , theres more than one way to skin a cat
( thats just an old saying, I would never harm a cat )

All of mine (have bought 4) have come with one of each, carbon, sponge and bio.

New from the Mfgr they are supposed to come with 1 each. Some petstores take them apart and replace the Bio because the carbon is cheaper than the Bio Max.
