I remember reading somewhere that the AC70 does not fit on the rim of a 75gal or larger tank (I searched but came up empty).
I have a 75gal Perfecto coming and an AC70 on another tank that I want to transfer over to the 75gal.
Will it fit?

Thanks!!

Burt:)

i don't remember any problems when i put one on my all-glass 75g...can't exactly remember though either...either way i'm sure there's some way you can get it on there...u'r only limited by u'r imagination

why would you put a ac70 on a 75 gal? that's insane, it won't do much. i have an ac110 (500) laying around that i used to use when my tilapia was in my 75. lmk

Should work if it fits on my 55 gallon it should fit on your 75

I am going to upgrade the 35gal, which is presently using the AC70. Also, the fish that is being transferred is the one that the AC70 is being used with, so it would house most of the bb needed to deal with its waste. I have another AC110 around as well, but initially it is easier to just move the AC70 over.

I just don't want to have to cut the trim to fit a temporary filter on...

Burt :)

you could always just mount a piece of plywood on the rim and hang it on that. Ive done it before to fin on a large rimmed rubbermaid type bin.

I have modded an AC 70 to fit an Oceanic, so it is possible, but not ideal.

I took a large file and grinded down the inner rim of the tank for my 110 to fit on my 85G. I plan on putting 2 of those filter on that tank once all the fish are added.

Does not fit all-glass 75's...I found out the hard way. I was going to use 2 of them on my 75 and it was a no go. The ac110 fits fine.
