AC70 (AC300) on a 75gal, does it fit??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i'm pretty sure the top trim on the 75g is to thick for a AC70.. why not just us the AC110 you have and transfer all the media from the AC70 into the Ac110. That way your not waisting any bb, also transfer some water and substrate as well. best of luck.

I wish we could let go of "seasoned" water. There is nothing good in old water. All you are doing is moving nitrates, and as we all remember, nitrates are toxic.

 :iagree:

There are benefits to old water.....It is not chlorinated, there are proteins and nutrients that can also be seeded, and of course there is BB. The nitrates especially when added to a new "cycle skipped" tank can in no way be looked at as bad or worse than the tank they came from. The filter needs ammonia, nitrites, and nitrates. Old water supports all of that. Of course this topic is one of those hobbyist debates, but don't preach that one side is fact when in fact there are pros and cons to both methods....

:iagree:

Also there is no need to acclimate the fish being transferred in this case if its simply going from one tank to another with the same water and same filter.... I've done this a number of times

Does not fit all-glass 75's...I found out the hard way. I was going to use 2 of them on my 75 and it was a no go. The ac110 fits fine.

yeap same thing happened to me as well

I completely broke down the tank they came from, and then was surprised by the fact that they did not fit. I had to Re fill the tank put all the substrate and decor back in it and return the fish, AND devise a completely different plan then what I was about to do :irked: Did the same happen to you?
