Acanthicus adonis owners post here now!

They're building up quite a tension, those Adonis keepers...
Come on, guys, this can't be...
Monsterfishkeepers and no Acanthicus around?
Please tell me thats not true!
 
so Red Devil what is the behavior of your acanthicus and would you say it is sexually mature, and what size is it to me from the pics looks like 8-10 inche range.

I love how there deep black color gives way to those burrs.
 
I wanna see one of the big ones...

He is about a foot now.. he has almost lost all his white spots that he had as a baby... i don't think he acts any different now that he is mature.. perhaps because his only tank mates are a synodontis and a silver arowana... so he more or less is the boss of the tank .. the synodontis hangs out in his cave most of the time while adontis is always out and about..

my 15" Adonis staked out an entire 125 gallon bottom as his territory.. he would chase and beat up any other pleco in his eyesight.. I removed all other plecos from the tank...Never bothered my Severums and/or loaches.

He kept some of his spots but they where gradually fading
