no i just realized that the hystrix is the L-155 and the Acanthicus adonis has no number as Davo said.. they must get them mixed up.. but the Hystrix grows to huge .. and adonis tops out at 16 inches..so now we know the Acanthicus adonis has no L number

One more call to step up if your captive-raised adonis is anything half as monstrous as 39" implies. I'm betting none of them ever get longer than 24" in captivity. If you've raised one from tiny to anything larger than 24", get your credit here by posting a pic. I'd love to see it. So far in this thread, 15" is the largest mentioned. I hope MFK can top that.

I have a few.My biggest is 11 inches and lives with 40 other plecos in a 180.He is very mellow and still has a million spots .the other is 3-4 inches with less spots and is very nasty.Here is the big one.
