Acara with Pop eye

I have a 75 GL with a FX5 filter. I never had nitrites nor nitrates. The Acara is too shy and always is hiding behind the wood, I think he hit the eye and get infected, all the other fishes are really healthy, shining and hungry the whole day, If the water conditions were poor, I will notice some other symptoms in the rest of the community.

In your first post you indicated your nitrate test read <50ppm???

It may not even with meds it may not help. If it’s really not eating and listless then I’d suggest putting it down with some clove oil.

Get a bucket with tank water, 1 g. Place the fish in it. Get clove oil. Add up to 30 drops. It should become sedated quickly and stop breathing.

So sorry to hear...I went through this with my Severum Chip. When I saw the pic of your fish it was like a bad flashback. ?
