is it possibal and legal to house a green andaconda in socal in a huge aqaurium like cage with trees in it and plants and a pond in it kind of like the ones at the zoo with a trap door to put in rabbits and rats trust me i wouldnt be planning on going in it?

I have no idea about the legality of it, but why do you want to? I'd really consider your reasoning behind it before even really considering it. Do you have any clue what you would be getting into? No offense, but from the general attitude I'm getting from your post, I'm guessing not....

I want to say large constrictors require a permit in CA but I'm not sure.

And I second what andy said; owning any giant constrictor is a huge responsibilty. If you're just wanting to own something "cool" as a status symbol, or just want to compensate for lacking in other areas of your life, I suggest getting a sports car or taking karate lessons.

I'm not sure what exactly an adaconda is...

However, Green Anacondas, do require a permit, and if you weren't planning on going in its cage how do you plan on cleaning? You've got to check up on him as well to make sure he doesn't get ticks or fleas or sicknesses... Dude, seriously, don't get one. My 3ft Anaconda was enough trouble. Judging by the type of knowledge you displayed in your post, I highly doubt you'd be capable of caring for such a wonderful constrictor. Stick with the ball pythons, kid.

they don't require permits.

I agree with you though.

If you can't spell it.......you shouldn't own one! :D

Sorry but I agree, exactly how do you monitor its health and clean the vivarium?
Theres no way you can own one without at least doing these, and you don't need a trap door for its food, as long as you are careful and take precautions, the anaconda isn't going to tag you.

The way you are talking is as if its out to eat you or get you...:grinno:

Thanks, bro. I hope so too :D

This guy would probably get tagged all the time. My anaconda was the only snake I had that would constantly catch me off my guard haha. They don't pull their neck back like most snakes do when they're about to strike. They can bite side ways... you've got to be really careful.

I was thinking about getting another one =/ Just wish they were so damn expensive.
