somewhere close to you...
I already have 7 RBP's and on saturday I will be adding 4 more to my gang...The new ones are about half the size of my current one's...

Any suggestion on how to introduce the new ones to the group? The original 7 have been together for about 6mo already no issues just the occasional fin nip....

Tank sz is 240gal

I wouldn't bother with a divider. You're taking a huge risk with the size difference but just change up the tank so it "feels" like a new tank and add them in. Hopefully the original 7 have to re establish territories along with the new 4

Even dividing them (which I did for about 2 months), won't keep them from sparring/fighting. I have nine total and they are still setting up their hierarchy, nipping, taking chunks out of each other...I followed a thread on here and it worked very well....can't remember the title. Good luck! Keeping the temp down has helped immensely, and when I feed them I don't throw big chunks of fish in; I cube it up in small pieces.

here's what I do when I add new piranha to an existing shoal.
feed the shoal well, then do water change with cooler water. during the water change process your piranhas are probably already freaked out from the process but just in case they are not scared the crap out of them by chase them around with a net or something alike to freak them out. add new fish and scared the crap out of them all together with a net or something. once they all settle down they'll be like good buddies. so far I have yet to loss a piranha by following this method. note that what had worked for me may not work the same for you, just sharing some of my experience here.
