Added black sand...

I finally added some Tahitian Moon sand to the gar tank today, and it looks freakin awesome, if I do say so myself. My Florida is probably gonna end up being solid black after a day or so . What do you think?

Yah, this pic was only about an hour after I added the sand. I spent a good while pre-washing it so it wouldn't cloud the water up too much. The fish were a little freaked out by the whole thing, although the gar took it in stride, and didn't seem too stressed out by it.

Yah, I know. Fortunately nobody's ripped me too bad for it yet

I'm not sure what I'm going to do about the stock situation. Are all of the tm's bad to mix with gar, or is it mainly the pbass/snook? My thinking is that I may be willing to sell/trade the 2 pbass and snook, and get a couple more gars. I really like the pike and dat though, so I don't know if I could give those up anytime soon.

I can't wait until I have the time (and money saved up) for a large plywood build. I'm hoping to do something around 8'x4'x2.5'.
