prime breeding age though...another year.... how often would you breed a pair?

You could set him up with a harem and breed him to multiple females, once the eggs are laid with one female he could either take a break or move to the next female to breed again. If you keep him with only one female they could breed every 3 months or so, but it would depend on the fish.

Free floating algae, had the same problem when it started becoming spring out. Alaecide cleared it up without hurting my biofiler.

haha... well see...for me picking a fh is priortized in the following order
1. body shape...fins...tail
2. pearls...coloration...
3. kok size
You can buy really big kok fh...with low features on everything else... i try to find balanced fh...not just kok. I love fish...so right now...both my males are like top gradein Australia...or close to even being the best.
Im only investing for the fh community...you cant expect to have top quality fry if you dont invest a bit...but i love fish keeping...so comes with the hobby !!

When picking small fish it's hard to get a clear idea of how it will grow out, for instance I got my male and he's at about 2 inches and is already showing a KOK so I got him for that reason alone
