adhesive

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont know if its best but I've used epoxy. I've also used gorilla glue. Both had good results just rough up both surfaces with heavy grit sandpaper before gluing. Hope this helps.

I was told AquaStik in another post, or either aquarium safe cement...But i went to homedepot and my LFS and niether were sold anywhere..

I would highly recommend against gorillla glue. I have found that after a year-year and a half, the polyurethane foam glue breaks down in strength and becomes very brittle. So weak that if you flick it it could break. What I would just use silicone. Roughing up the pvc will help with getting it to adhere well.

Thanks for info on gorilla glue. I havent seen these results but my gorilla glue hasnt been submerged that long. Also I forgot to mention if you can get your hands on epoxy putty it works great for adhering damn near anything together.

in my mind nothing ..yes some can be used but i think not useing any works best..... so what if things shift a bit .............really u can use a few things once dry very safe

I'm pretty sure I know what Davo has up his sleeves. He is trying to hide the pvc, and with plecos the slate more than likely won't stay in place for very long.

i wouldnt bother with that stuff anyway

I think that silacone would be the safest but it does not have the bonding strength of epoxy or glue but it's best for plants and other light weight ornaments.
