Bump for a spectacular adonis! How is the guy? Still spotted?

Good news for him! I wonder if he will max out at less than the wild size. I mean, you see these dog-sized specimens being reeled in and measured, but I really wonder if they will attain these great sizes in aquaria. Has anybody grown one out beyond reasonable size? I see zoo specimens, but are those wild-caught? Liz's is five years old and 13" if I recall correctly. That's a far cry from the fish we're warned about. What do you think? Will we be needing 1000 gallon tanks, or do we have a decade or two or steady, slow growth before that happens?

Had a reguilar black adonis years ago, at 12" total length, spots remained on only 1/4 to 1/3 of the tail end.

Aggression on the other hand went to 100% and I had to sell him off in favour of my L25, L24, and royal plecos.

Yours looks like a one in a million adonis, hope you keep us updated with his growth rates and 'state of spots' in the future.
