'Adopted' her for $2! (GTC or GS)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I’m glad you were able to move her into a bigger tank. In the future even a plastic storage bin can be used just to give more water volume. I had 6 giant danios in a 30gal bin to quarantine them. Just pop a filter with seasoned media in and your good to go.

She is still stressed, but looking better from last time. Keep up what you are doing:)

How long before you move?

I'd say a week from now

Update! I might make this a "journal"...

Here she is today:

Every time I get close to the tank she hides under her log, but when I whip the camera out she wants to show off what she's got!

I decided to go ahead and name her early. Her name's Tina. Just in case it's a guy then the name's gonna be either Tyrone or Tony. I like Tony.

Would you say she looks better or worse since the last time? What should I do to make her feel more comfortable? I know she isn't okay with people seeing her, she gets feisty when I'm not looking.

As of now I'm feeding her freeze-dried bloodworms, frozen bloodworms, and guppy fry (when my mom isn't looking)

I've been waiting all week to go out and buy her hikari cichlid gold but my mom always makes some stupid excuse for me not to go. I'm gonna pay for the food anyways!

She's in a 20 long just in case you didn't know. I can take pics of the setup if you ask me for some. I successfully got anubias to root into the sand with no supplement thing, and I guess Tina wants me to glue it onto the wood. She's almost uprooted the whole plant!

I found out I'm gonna start moving This weekend, and the first thing I'm putting in the new house is her 55 growout, maybe even a permanent tank, I haven't had any luck with finding my $80. I won't set it up yet, I'll just have it there. I need to be at the point where I'm at the new house more often than my current one, I don't wanna miss a single feeding. It's only a 5 minute drive.
