Try feeding it some Gambusia. I have had success by putting them in the water bowl and letting the ringneck hunt it. Good luck, they are awesome.
x2 this worked with a small watersnake i had once, he ate them the first time i offered them.

he is TINY! i love ringnecks, they're cool looking and don't get gigantic.

Nice find. Unfortunately I haven't found one of those guys in years. I use to find them all the time as a kid up in the mountains.
Its because your not a kid anymore, you were just imagining it.

*jeoulous!*
I've been looking for one of these guys all summer! unfortunately now its dropping down below 60, even in the 50s now so I guess I'll have to wait until next year to get one.
... once long ago, when I was a young, stupid, ignorant kid, one of these guys (an adult one over 1' long) was in our pool, my mom hating snakes and projecting that hatred onto me told me to kill it because she said it was poisonous... I didn't know any better and was of the impressionable age of "better do what mom says or else".... a couple years later I remembered the incident and found out what the snake really was... I never forgave myself for it... interesting twist of fate that now I run a reptile rescue that strives to educate the public on species identification and proper care and respect for these animals.

Nice. I see those things all the time in my yard. I have a plywood cover for my fire pit. Whenever I leave it off the pit and on the grass over night, I find one or two of them under it in the morning.

NICE!! iv never had the good look at seeing one of these in person

I see these every once in a while, there actually on the threatened list, atleast for FL.

really!? since when? they shouldn't be threatened, they are the second most common snake down here. I see them ALL the time. There is no way they are actually threatened... if anything, the researches supporting this just don't look underground for them...
