Advice on my new Cat

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Can combine to a tsp of MB and 1 tsp of salt in a 5 Gallon bucket and let the fish sit. This is what I mainly do to qt fish.

Again guys great info. thanks for sharing, hopefully anyone reading is learning a thing or two.

As for the Nodosus still acting funky IMO, hasn't eaten for me yet but is at least moving about the tank a little. I had decreased the temp and increased surface agitation in the hopes of raising the waters oxygen content. I've also changed the direction of out flows and spray bars to decrease dead spots at least at the surface where he spends all his time. Another cell phone pic of Nodosus...

Gorgeous cat, don't think I can offer much beneficial suggestions as the guys seem to have got a lot covered. Wish you the best of luck with it, look forward to a happy update thread and dread the opposite

Lol, I was thinking the same thing. I rarely if ever name a fish but between the worry this one has had me in since day one and their interesting local and common name I've been considering naming him.

According to the article on planetcatfish by Marc Stabel their common name is Kokosoda catfish which is the name of a Vietnamese soft drink so how it came to be the common name of this cat in French Guyana is from what Marc expressed beyond him. Also according to Marc many Auchenipteridae are referred to as Koko locally. Which one of the translations from Creole means little man. Marc chose not to share the common names of this fish in Brazil, Venezuelan or Surinam.

Koko drink, little man and some tipsy movement.

Googling some combination of small men, drinking and so on pulls up "Hank the Angry Dwarf"

Lol, not sure I want to associate that mug with my cat but I'll consider it. Thanks Hendre.
