Advice.

we live in wyoming, no dr. tims, he hasn't even tried to cycle it, when he does water changes he does 100% water changes, then adding water without consideration that he has just restarted to whole cycle progress. he hasn't had a fish in that tank for no longer then 1 week before they die, and the tank hasn't gone without fish for about 3-4 days at max. he has a tank of death and he doesn't care.

i feel 100% guilty for starting him on this fish stuff, i gave him a 55 gallon tank to help hime start off and what does he do? he goes and puts a damn snake in it and an oscar in a 10 gallon tank. de shouldn't be aloud in a fish store at all. its almost like he dumps ammonia in his tank the way he stocks his tank. he asks if he can put something in, everyone says no, then does it anyway. he does this about everything thinking he knows best when he hardly knows how to do what he thinks he can do best!!

im done ranting sorry, but the truth must be told and me being sick (literally sick, very very sick) had to let it out. he doesn't know what he is doing at all. he agrees with you so he has false reason to get more fish. he went to petco to get the fish alone because we have no artificial bacteria withing 300 miles of where we live. we have stuff that feeds it, but he kills the good bacteria faster then he can type "I"!

Dr Tim's can be easily shipped right to your home from Drs Foster & Smith.

he isn't patient enough to order something unless is some monster fish to put in his 10 gallon tank.

Sad... :(

X2 on that thought... considering the amount of time, money and effort one puts into the hobby just to keep replacing fish seems a bit pointless to me..

well after these two fish die, I'm taking down the tank and gonna use it for a snake tank, So i wont have to listen to people tell me how to do things. I was raised with know how and a good work etich and fish sense. I know how to wheel and deal horses and cattle, Not fish. So i'm leaving and gonna stick to horses and cows and snakes.

SO THIS IS MY FINALLY POST! GOOD BYE EVERYONE AND ILL NEVER HEAR FROM YOU AGIAN!

i think u should just calm down and try it one more time. ur a beginner n that kinda stuff happens. sounds to me like u know jerzyperson so why dont u let him show u how to cycle ur tank and get u up n running and mainain it. its two pea puffers in a ten gallon, not a 300 with cichla, so i think its a good place to start n learn

I didn't mean to sound mean, it was just my opinion, and as marauders30 said since you seem to know jerzyperson, why not get him to help you setup your tank properly so that you don't have to keep replacing your fish...

I mean at the end of the day i would guess a majority of the members here were at one stage complete noobs in the hobby and were making the same mistakes you are now (i know i was), so why give up so quickly when all the advice you need is right here?
