Hey guys,
so I recently got some hybrid African cichlids (yellow lab and peacock) from a local fish keeper and was told the female is holding. Finally after 2 weeks, the fry have hatched and I found 1 swimming in the breeder. As a result, today I took the female out and gently pushed her mouth open with a Bobby pin and with a bit of coaxing 18-20 fry came out. Some are darker in color others peach and light in color. Will these lighter ones turn out to be albinos or will they look more yellow. I added some hikari fry food and most of them started pecking at the bottom of the tank so I think it’s a good sign. Will keep you posted any input on how to successfully raise them will be appreciated. Thanks! Also attached fish of the female (skinny one) and male, although I don’t know if that’s the male who fertilized the eggs!
