I have 2 ACF and was wondering what would be the best thing to feed them? I have them in a 10G tank with 1 painted glass fish, 1 tiger oscar, 1 pleco, 1 rosy barb, 1 iridescent shark, 1 bloodfin tetra, and 1 buenos aires tetra. I love my frogs, but to date, they have eaten 3 neon tetras, 1 bloodfin tetra, and a rainbow shark. Could anyone suggest what kind of fish I can put my frogs with?

Feeder fish!

These guys will eat pretty much anything you offer to them.
If you must keep them with fish, I suggest that you feed your frogs every day, they will eat crickets nightcrawlers, turtle pellets.....the list goes on.
The ones that I have worked with tended to stay near the surface with their noses sticking out. Then when I dropped food by their heads they would violently push everything into their mouths.
They are super cool, but very agressive and can eat any fish smaller than they are.

Mine used to eat everything I gave it..and even some stuff I didnt want him to eat. such as a few amano shrimp, come cardinal tetras I think he even got a few of my cories as well...

When i would drop sinking pellets for my pleco and bottom feeders he would shoot over as fast as he could and gobble them all up. Kind of neat to watch him shovel pellets into his mouth with his 2 front claws but after loosing a few fish i decided he was on his way back to the LFS.

I guess he sensed that and tried to make an escape one night, I found him probably 12 hours later under my bed covered in feathers lol..(down conforters and pillows tend to loose feathers over time) but seriously he looked like he was tarred and feathered. I washed him off in some tank water and put him back in the tank...he escaped again the next night and I still dont know where the hell he went. One day I think a big 6ft frog is going to kill me in my sleep or something. He never did make it back to the fish store though...poor frog. lol

thanks for the info guys. lol.....6 ft frog......scary thought. mine got out once and did not see him, until I went to flush the tolit. Cujo ( named this because he eats my fish) was right smack in front of it. I was able to save him, but wonder if it was worth it, seeing how he has eaten so many of my little fish

They get very big, I kept mine in a temperate tank with a half dozen koi. They will do fine with any larger fish. A 10 gallon is not big enough for them for too long. I had 7, and all were over 5" long. That iridescent shark won't last long in that tank too. They hit MONSTEROUS sizes.

I had a female African Clawed frog for 8 years or so (she laid eggs several times, is how I know it was a girl) when she was small I kept her in a pickle jar!
they can be kept with almost anything that doesn't fit in their mouth- I lived in south florida for a while and the pond outside my apartment had breeding manguese cichlids in it- so I would scoop up a net full of managuense fry and dump them in the tank, and there was one that figured out how to stay alive :) lived with the frog for a while after that, any way my current frog is with a goldfish and some snails.

I will be happy to post a pic of Carrie and Cujo ( my froggies) once I can make my mutimedia card reader work. I have several pics of them but they just arent on my pc yet.
So, how big do the iridescent sharks get?
