Ok, here is what I was thinking stocking wise...
The reason I am even thinking about this now when I won't have a tank set up in over a month is because some of these fish aren't real common around here (albino sens, delhezi, ctenopama, african butterfly fish) so if I am able to find one by chance between now and then, I could always throw it in my 50 gallon at my parents for the time being, or my brothers 30 gallon possibly.
This is for a standard 75 gallon tank...
-African Butterfly Fish (3)... slow and boring... but something for the top of the tank
-African Knifefish (1)... had one in the past, one of my favorite fish
-Bichirs (3)... albino sen, sen, and/or delhezi. one of each or multiples of one... idk... but gonna be 3 bichir
-Mid-Water Fish (2-4)... these will be kribs, jewels (maybe), or ctenopamas if I can find them. The cichlids will NOT be breeding pairs so no worries with that. If I can find kribs big enough I will use those... I just don't want them to be a snack. Not sure on jewels... they have a nasty reputation but the one I had a while back was a wimp.
How does that look? There would be NO chance of a tank upgrade for at least 3 years, so this isnt a grow out situation or anything. I don't really know how to stock these fish because I have no experience with them. most of my fish experience has been with cichlids and with them you hav eot worry about territories and ****.
So... is this close to overstocked? just fine? lightly stocked? overstocked?
