wow 6'' a year? i thought it was slower than that. Or is it .5'' a month up to a certain size and then slower?
really depends on your husbandtry. if you feed less, have crappy cool water then it would grow slower, but if you have perfect, warm water and you feed loads i wouldn't be suprised if it grew even faster. i don't think atf growth rates slow down etc. they don't even have "spurts" to begin with
all ATF ive had tend to grow in spurts...
but the thing is i think,that most people dont notice the "spurts" because even with the spurts,they still grow SLOW....
usually ive had less than 0.5 per month,and during a growth spurt this increases slightly more.
when my most recent VATF had a spurt,it hit an inch in a month.
also,it really comes down to husbandry.

I got mine 5.5" now almost 11" but keep for about 2 years +/- If I am not wrong is 2007 Mar.

I got a VATF last september at like 4-5" and he was quite skinny. Hes now around 6.5" but has filled out a lot.
He usey gets prawn and mussle daily, and frozen feeds aswell. Hes in a 180 too. Not fast growers at all.

I would say .5" a month also sometimes a little less. I have two in a 300. I feed quite well. From 4" to 10" in about a year.
