I found a distributor about an hour away from me. They shipped it to where I work, and I somehow ended up getting a discount.
African Tiger Fish or Wolf fish?

If you do want anything more then the wolf in a tank I would go for a hoplerynthius or erynthius not hoplias species. If you can find rare ones that's great, but the somewhat common ones are red wolf wish (erynthius) and gold wolves (hoplerynthius). They are more commonly used in monster community tanks

Thanks Dr. Gonzo, I think I am going to go for Hoplias, I like tanks with generally only one fish in them.
thanks guys! I'm gonna go with a Mala wolf to start and work my way towards an aimara. I really do appreciate everyone's feedback on the thread. I was so surprised to see so much wolf fish love after seeing so many threads here that are focused on ATF.
Don't fall into the solo only hype. A wolf is just a fish, sometimes they're angry and are solo only fish, but sometimes people bring this out in them. There's more then 1 Aimara out there in a community setting 
Mine has been incident free in a community setting for 2+ years.
Best bet is to get them small and grow them up with other fish regardless of species.
IF I was wolf free, limited on space, and just getting into wolves I'd likely go for a group of Gold Wolves......

Your welcome OP, this guy is only the 3rd or 4th guy I've seen with aimara in a community. Its deff possible, idk if I'd want to risk my other fish though lol
