After A Year Tank Still Looks Terible

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You definitely have some options on stocking once the grouper is gone. The Maroon and Wrasse may harass any new inhabitants, but you should be ok if you stay away from more wrasses or clowns. I don't know how big the 2 are currently, but generally adding fish bigger than them will prevent them from acting aggressive towards the new fish. If the wrasse and maroon are pretty big already then I would try to get new fish that are quite a bit smaller and not perceived as much of a threat. Rearranging your rock upon introduction of new fish will also be helpful.

Ok thanks for the info, the wrasse is at 5 inches and the clown at 3 also do i rerange it the day before or like right before introducing new fish?

Rearrange the rock right before introducing the new fish. By doing this, you cause all of the fish to establish new territories rather than end up having the old fish savagely defend their territories when the new fish are added.

OK thanks,

What do you guys think of this stock:

-Green Bird Wrasse at 5 inches
-Maroon Clown at 3 inches
-Sand Sifting Goby (Don't know what kind should I get or how many/what size)
-Blenny (Pike's look cool)
-Chromis

How is it looking so far? Any fish or fish stock you guys suggest?...I like snow flake eels but everything will probably get eaten lol....gotta step away from preds

Thats just the nature of predators.

I like easy, thats why I stick to corals....

Corals...don't like them to much, just because I need to buy a $400 light fixture lol

Anyone wants to stock my tank while including a green bird wrasse and maroon clown?....better yet can someone buy the fish for me....early christmas gift?....;)

Get a scopas tang and some sort of dwarf angel along with a goby or blennys or chromis. It's up to you. And the fixture does not have to be 400 if you look better.
